Data and purposes

Data may include your identity, contact details, stay dates, guest numbers, selected services, booking, billing and deposit information, and communications needed for your stay. It is used to answer enquiries, process and fulfil bookings, organise stays, manage payments, deposits and complaints. These purposes rely on pre-contractual steps or performance of the contract. Accounting and tax records are processed under legal obligations; dispute management and security rely on legitimate interests, subject to your rights.
Required booking fields are identified in the form. Without necessary information, a booking cannot be processed. The contact page prepares an email in your browser. Your enquiry is sent only when you open your email app and send it; it is not stored by the website. You can also contact us directly by email or telephone.

Recipients and services

Managers and authorised persons access information needed for their tasks. Smoobu provides the booking engine and reservation management. ChargeAutomation is used for the pre-arrival journey and deposit; Stripe handles payments and card authorisations. StyQR provides the welcome guide. The Évian owners receive only necessary information concerning their property. Accounting providers or authorities may receive information required for their work or legal obligations.

Retention

Enquiries without a booking are retained while the request is handled and necessary follow-up is completed. Stay records are retained during the contractual relationship; afterwards, only necessary records are archived for applicable limitation periods or legal obligations. Accounting records are retained for ten years. In a dispute, relevant records may be kept until resolution and expiry of appeal periods. Data no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Subject to the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Contact contact@leschantsdeleau-thonon.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL.

Cookies and advertising measurement

With your prior agreement, Google Ads measures confirmed bookings and paid gift vouchers resulting from our advertising. Data includes a transaction identifier without contact details, the conversion type and, for a gift voucher, the amount paid in euros, together with advertising identifiers and technical information processed by Google. Our tracking does not send guest contact details, bank card information or gift voucher codes. Advertising personalisation and enhanced conversions are disabled.

You can accept or refuse in the banner and withdraw your agreement at any time using “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of the page. Refusing does not prevent booking or payment. No Google Ads code loads before you agree. Your choice is kept for six months; advertising cookies configured by our tag last up to 90 days. If you accept measurement, linking identifiers can attribute a purchase started on the main website to the same advertising visit.

Google may process this data outside the European Economic Area. See Google’s data protection information. Smoobu and payment services remain subject to their own privacy information. Other functional website services, including music preferences, are independent of this tracking.

International processing

Providers may process some data outside the European Economic Area. Locations, recipients and safeguards depend on the service and are described in its data protection information. Contact us about the safeguards applicable to your booking. We do not claim exclusively European hosting.
